A Teenage Haircut
As far back as Megan can remember, she loved hair and fashion. But as a young girl, there was one problem, she had no money. Well, two problems. No money and Mom wasn’t about to fund her beauty obsession. However, her Mom did pay for Megan to get a haircut. So on one fateful trip to the salon, Megan decided on a bob. This bob changed everything. Megan felt so good about herself and knew right then she wanted to give others the same feeling.
From Coast to Coast
Megan met a man and fell in love. Their marriage would eventually take them from coast to coast, but the journey started in New York. When they first arrived in NYC, a mecca of beauty, she realized it was the perfect place to start her hair career.
Never Stop Growing
Megan went to hair school in NYC and followed that up with an assistant position at a small salon in the city. In the years to come, she would find her love for hair education, taking countless courses on color, razor cutting, curly hair mastery, and so much more.
Her most recent and extensive education has been to become a Wella Master Color Expert. She first completed a series of prerequisite classes and then took a 2-week course. If you actually pass the first week of this demanding course, you can book the second week. Megan passed both weeks with flying colors is now an expert in Wella color and technique.
The Lesson Learned
Throughout Megan’s long hair education journey, she has learned that no matter how long you have been doing hair, there is always more to learn, and there is always something to inspire. Learning never stops.
Short Cuts & Pixies
Short Cuts and Pixies are a difficult service in the hair world. There is an artistry to maintaining feminine texture and flow with a pixie. While some stylists shy away, Megan relishes and excels.
Inspired to learn by her hair heroes, mastery of the razor is now another talent Megan can call her own. And, with it comes shaping and texture only afforded by a sharp blade and keen eye.
When it comes to color, you can expect Megan to always focus on dimension and movement. She loves to use two shades throughout the ends to create subtle depth.
Outside The Salon
When Megan is not behind the chair, she loves to read, hike, and spend time with her family. She has two daughters who are the light of her life. She loves her family and dogs. Megan loves to travel and be outside and is most likely planning her next vacation right now.
