Sheryl’s journey in the beauty industry began in high school when she joined a Vo-Tech program for hairstyling, graduating in the class of 1992. From assisting at Sahair to managing SuperCuts by Mervyn’s, and later working at Regis in Meadows Mall, Sheryl steadily built her skills and experience. In 1997, she transitioned to booth rental at A Wild Hair, and by 2004, she became the proud owner of the salon. For nearly two decades, she poured her heart into her craft, even running her salon from home after selling the business.
Although she stepped away from hairstyling in 2012, Sheryl returned a decade later, reigniting her passion. The challenges of divorce brought her back to the salon world, where she found purpose, joy, and a renewed sense of self. Today, she feels deeply grateful to be reconnecting with her artistry and community.
With over 20 years of hairstyling and salon management, Sheryl brings a wealth of knowledge to the chair. Her journey through various roles—assistant, manager, booth renter, and salon owner—has given her a unique perspective and expertise that she uses to elevate her clients’ experiences.
Coming back to hairstyling was more than a career move for Sheryl—it was a personal transformation. Returning to the industry allowed her to reconnect with her creative side and rebuild a sense of independence. This chapter of her life is all about gratitude, growth, and making her clients feel their best.
Though her career has spanned decades, Sheryl is constantly seeking opportunities to grow and evolve. Whether by learning new techniques or staying current with trends, she’s committed to delivering the best for her clients. Sheryl sees every day as a chance to improve and refine her skills.
Outside of the salon, Sheryl’s world revolves around her family, including her children, grandchildren, and beloved dogs. She treasures moments of meditation and mindfulness, practicing kindness in all she does. Whether spending time with loved ones or finding peace in quiet reflection, Sheryl’s life is full of love and gratitude.
