Kaydence knew she wanted to do hair from the age of five, thanks to her aunt, who introduced her to the salon life and all things related to hair and makeup. She instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the art of transformation, developing a passion that has always assured her path into hairstyling.
Her desire to be part of the beauty industry stems from a wish to help people feel confident with their hair. Beyond the technical work, she truly loves the salon environment, finding joy in the energy and connections she makes every day.
Kaydence attended Paul Mitchell full-time, where she completed her foundational education and graduated in August of 2024. Her time assisting Megan and Ashton at THS (The Hair Standard) was an amazing and deeply valuable experience. She learned an incredible amount through the program, which she believes is structured excellently to set up new stylists for success in the industry.
The biggest lesson Kaydence has learned throughout her journey is to remember that “everything has a solution.” She has learned not to take every challenge or mistake as seriously as she might initially perceive it, fostering a confident and problem-solving mindset in the salon.
Kaydence loves blonding because of the immense variety in approaches and the numerous stunning outcomes that can be achieved. It allows her to continually explore new techniques to create customized looks for her clients.
Extensions are a favorite specialty because they are a direct way to help people gain confidence by adding volume and length. She enjoys the technical precision and artistry required to make extensions look seamless and natural.
She enjoys haircutting as it is the final step that pulls a whole look together. Haircuts provide essential shape, movement, and polish, which are crucial for completing a successful transformation.
Kaydence finds color work appealing due to the many possibilities it offers and the fact that the process is generally straightforward. This allows her to easily create simple or complex color results depending on the client’s vision.
When she is not in the salon, you can usually find her spending time with her friends, exploring a new coffee shop, or enjoying quality time with her family. During the winter months, she loves to hit the slopes for some snowboarding.
